Auch das Hackerkollektiv Anonymous soll mit einem Angriff auf RTL gedroht haben. Nun wurde eine neue Stellungnahme der Cyberpiraten über Youtube und den Kurznachrichtendienst Twitter veröffentlicht.

Das Hackerkollektiv Anonymous, das unter anderem am Sony-Hack beteiligt gewesen sein soll, hat sich über ein Youtube-Video und Twitter zur angeblichen Attacke auf den Fernsehsender RTL zu Wort gemeldet. Hintergrund: Vor ein paar Tagen strahlte der in Köln ansässige Sender im Rahmen des Boulevard-Magazin RTL Explosiv einen Bericht im TV aus, der sich mit der Gamescom 2011 befasste. Darin wurden Besucher mit Außerirdischen verglichen und unter anderem als unhygienische "Computerfreaks" bezeichnet. Das hatte - wie zu erwarten war - zur Folge, dass Gamer Sturm auf den Fernsehsender RTL liefen. Der für den Bericht verantwortliche Redakteur Tim Kickbusch entschuldigte sich offiziell dafür.

Kurz danach machte ein Gerücht die Runde, dass die Cyberpiraten von Anonymous aufgrund der negativen Berichterstattung von RTL zur Gamescom mit einem Angriff auf den Fernsehsender drohen. Wie die genannte Hackergruppe allerdings nun via Youtube-Video und über den Kurznachrichtendienst Twitter klar stellt, stecken "wütende Gamer" dahinter: "An deutsche Medien: Es gibt keine Operation RTL", so Anonymous über Twitter. Ein wichtiger Grundsatz lautet: "Don't attack the media" auf deutsch "Greife niemals Medien an!"
Bitte stoppt den Aufruf für Angriffe auf RTL! Ein Angriff auf Medien liegt nicht im Sinne von Anonymous!
Das Anonymous Kollektiv bekennt sich NICHT zu den bisher geschehenen Cross Site Scripting (XSS) Angriffen gegen die RTL Web-Präsenz und unterstützt diese auch nicht. Die Hacks wurden von "wütenden Gamern" koordiniert.
