DICE hat neue Details zum im Februar erscheinenden Patch für Battlefield 3 bekannt gegeben. Demnach wird es nach dem Update für den Ego-Shooter unter anderem nicht mehr möglich sein, die MAV-Drohne als Transportmittel zu nutzen.

Derzeit nutzen einige Spieler in Battlefield 3 die MAV-Drohne als Transportmittel, um auf normalem Weg nicht erreichbare Gebäudedächer zu gelangen - was wiederum für Unmut auf den Multiplayer-Servern sorgt. Wie Gustav Halling, seines Zeichens Gameplay-Designer beim Entwickler DICE, jüngst über den Kurznachrichtendienst Twitter bekannt gab, werde dieses eigentlich ungewollte Feature mit dem kommenden Patch für Battlefield 3 nicht mehr enthalten sein. Das neueste Update für den Ego-Shooter soll im Februar als Download erscheinen.

Allerdings haben die Verantwortlichen von DICE noch kein genaues Datum genannt. Neben der von Gustav Halling für den nächsten Patch bestätigten Änderung, wurden im Battlelog-Forum darüber hinaus eine Reihe Verbesserungen veröffentlicht, die ebenfalls für kommende Updates vorgesehen sind.
