Bereits vor einiger Zeit kündigte Entwickler Gearbox für den Ego-Shooter Borderlands 2 zwei verschiedene Special Editions an. Nun wurden auch die genauen Inhalt bekannt gegeben.

Auf der PAX East 2012 im April kündigte Gearbox, neben dem Vorbesteller-DCL »Mechromancer «, bereits die beiden Special Editions »Deluxe Vault Hunters Edition« sowie die Premium-Variante »Ultimate Loot Chest Edition« zum Ego-Shooter Borderlands 2 an.

Zum Inhalt schwieg man sich damals aber noch weitestgehend aus. Nun gab Gearbox aber endlich die genaueren Inhalte bekannt. Die Deluxe Vault Hunters Edition kostet, zumindest in den USA, 100 Dollar und soll neben dem Spiel auch eine Wackelkopf-Figur von Waffenhändler Marcus Kincaid in einer, nach den markanten Waffen-Verkaufsautomaten gestalteten, Verpackung beinhalten.
