AMD reagiert auf die Vorstellung der Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti mit einer weiteren Preissenkung für einige Modelle seiner Radeon HD 7000-Serie.

Nachdem die neue Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti vor allem die AMD Radeon HD 7950 ins Visier nimmt, gehört auch diese AMD-Grafikkarte zu den Modellen, für die AMD nun die unverbindlichen Preisempfehlungen gesenkt hat.

Die AMD Radeon HD 7950 soll nun 319 statt 349 US-Dollar kosten und betrifft auch die neueste Version mit Boost-Funktion und höherem Takt. Die AMD Radeon HD 7870 wird von 299 auf 249 US-Dollar gesenkt und die kleinere AMD Radeon HD 7850 soll laut AMD nun statt 249 nur noch 209 US-Dollar kostet. Bei den Modellen der 7800-Reihe soll demnächst auch das Spiel Sleeping Dogs beiliegen, mehr Informationen dazu will AMD in Kürze veröffentlichen.

Zwar nennt AMD keine Euro-Preise in seinen Angaben, doch die Händler in Deutschland haben ihre Preise für die genannten Grafikkarten bereits zum Teil gesenkt und bieten beispielsweise die AMD Radeon HD 7950 schon ab 275 Euro an und damit knapp 20 Euro günstiger als die Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti.

Inzwischen haben uns auch die offiziellen Euro-Preise von AMD erreicht. Der empfohlene Preis für die AMD Radeon HD 7950 liegt nun bei 299 Euro. Die AMD Radeon HD 7870 wird für 249 Euro gelistet, während die AMD Radeon HD 7850 je nach Speicherausbau mit 2 GByte oder 1 GByte für 199 und 169 Euro aufgeführt wird. Das oben erwähnte Spiele-Bundle wird in Deutschland voraussichtlich mit den Modellen AMD Radeon HD 7970, AMD Radeon HD 7950, AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition und AMD Radeon HD 7850 erhältlich sein.
