Als der österreichische Extremsportler Felix Baumgartner am Sonntagnachmittag (deutscher Zeit) aus 39.000 Metern Höhe in die Tiefe sprang, drückten nicht nur die Eltern, Sponsoren und Fernsehzuschauer die Daumen. Auch im Web war der Sprung ein Groß-Ereignis. Den auf Youtube übertragenen Video-Live-Stream verfolgten mehr Internet-Nutzer als jemals zuvor einem im Internet übertragenen Video-Stream zugeschaut hatten.
